About the event
Muddy Ruckus is an American rock duo known for their raw blend of punk blues, Americana grit, and psychedelic rock energy. With Erika Stahl on suitcase-kick drums and Ryan Flaherty running guitar through multiple amps for a full-band sound, the duo creates explosive live performances that feel larger than life. Their music has been praised for its darkly poetic lyrics, swampy grooves, and high-voltage stage presence — earning them festival slots, national tours, and a devoted underground following.
"Using the striking, heavy language of romanticism, the emotional impact of the words is not so much overwhelming as it is effective. Rare that a song can accomplish what classic literature sought to." - Gas Mask Magazine
"Vacationland rocks like it’s opening a portal to another dimension. The tunes are vivid with visions that sound like nightmares sung in lullabies... A sonic blood rush to places nobody imagined existed.” - Motif Magazine
"Their music is down and dirty, steeped in the mud of the Mississippi delta and the Louisiana swamps, but also in the mud and grime of Woodstock and the mosh pit at an outdoor punk show" - Maine Today
